Watch Me Dance & Learn How To Make $50
Monday
Mar 31, 2008
Check out my fly dance moves in the video below. You just got served? Not quite. Anyway, the video is fun, and more importantly, the message is funner. Shawn and Missy own a site called WeViews.tv where they review products on video.
I did a few video reviews for them and they’re looking for more. Even better, they’re paying $50 for a review. That is one awesome deal. So look around your house for stuff you have and get reviewing for some cold hard cash! By the way, hats off to Slim-Sam Harrelson for the rap.

I’d love to have your video guest post right here on the Daily Flip. Can you create a video that will help or inspire my readers? If so, I’ll post it right here for all of them to read, along with a link to your website or blog. Remember though, it’s not an opportunity to sales pitch, it’s an opportunity to help people by providing good information. Contact me for details.

Why I Blog?
Friday
Mar 28, 2008
Darren Rowse, you know, the Problogger, put up a video challenge for everyone to say “why you blog?” So I did. The video below is my response.
So why do I blog? Well, I started blogging in August 2001 because a friend (Josh) showed me what it was, and I realized that I could publish my thoughts to the world without an editor/gatekeeper. It was an outlet for me, and being a creative person, it just felt darn good. Over time I’ve moved from blogging about personal stuff to business stuff, now back to video blogging for both reasons. In the end, I blog because I love it. Why do you blog?

My Post-It Note Story, Attention = Success
Thursday
Mar 27, 2008
The video below is all about getting attention to create opportunity, or revenue, or whatever it is that you’re looking to do. It’s a story about how I used a stack of yellow post-it notes to get offered a job. You should appreciate the middle part of this video where I post the notes all over my face for comedy effect.
The point is… you can get a lot in this world if you can get someone’s attention. Anyone can do it. You just have to not be afraid to try to do something unusual. There’s so many people doing the same thing out there; you have to stand out. Enjoy this video and I hope it inspires you to try to do something different to get what you want. Otherwise… you’re just going to be lumped in with everyone else, and that’s usually not a good thing.
Here’s the text version of this post-it note story I wrote about in 2007 here on this blog.

Never Price Yourself Too Low
Wednesday
Mar 26, 2008
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in the past was pricing myself and my services too low. Whether that was for a consulting or speaking gig, I’ve always found that I get more gigs when I price higher. The video below talks all about my experiences in pricing myself and my services.
Just remember that perception equals reality. When you send in low prices, the perception is that “he/she might not be worth it” or, “they’re prices are low, so what I’m going to get in return is going to be junk/cheap.” That’s bad for you. Never, ever, price yourself too low!
What’s your experience with pricing? Got any stories to share? Leave a comment or do a video and send me hte sharing site link and I’ll embed it here!

I Answer Every Email I Get, Do You?
Tuesday
Mar 25, 2008
I answer every email I get. Mostly. What I mean is, every real email I get from a real person with a real request… gets answered. It may take me a week or longer to get to it, but I get to it. Today’s video (below) is all about email overload and your brand.
Bottom line is, if you are going to put yourself out there and ask people to email you, you’re going to have to make sure you answer those emails. If you don’t, your brand is going to suffer. Be honest, you’ve emailed someone before and they never responded, then you emailed again and nothing. Deep down inside you think that person is too busy to respond to you, or doesn’t care, and that effects their brand in your head, it just does.
I worry that in several years I’m not going to be able to keep up with the current pace of emails I get that need answering. I have no idea how Gary V does it, or Mike Arrington, or Mark Cuban, well, Cuban says here how he does it, and so does Mike. I’ve talked to Gary about it before, and what he said he does is answer them when he’s flying, then hits send all when he lands, smart.

Dear Social Media, Help Me Stop Smoking?
Monday
Mar 24, 2008
Help me stop smoking? I’m off the smokes for over a month now. I had quit over a year ago for about 3 years, but last year I got back on them due to some family stress (excuses, I know). I was only having a few a day, but nonetheless, it was still smoking. So now I’m back off them and I want to stay off.
But I’m now hitting some type of wall where the cravings are coming on very strong. Watch the video below to help me stop smoking. It’s your fault if I don’t quit. Heh. :) Got a story about how you quit smoking that can help me? Email me the link and I’ll post the video here.
Add me or the cig gets it.

Your Marketing & Sales Team Sucks
Sunday
Mar 23, 2008
A bit of a rant today on the Daily Flip. Going all Feldman on ya. Basically, your marketing sucks, and your sales team too. Especially ad networks. Watch the video below to get my entire case.
I’m nicer in the video I think. Honestly though, I have to call you all out for bad marketing and even worse sales. Who in the ad network space besides one or two is actually doing anything innovative and attention-getting (booth babes do not count). Just a handful of you. The rest of you guys. Nada. Zip. Uninspiring marketing and sales teams that don’t know how to really sell.
Actually, I don’t really blame sales as much. I’ve been doing sales support as a marketer for years and years (yes, for an ad network once), and I can tell you that I consider it my job as the marketer to give the sales team the right things to say and show. This isn’t happening now/today.
You marketing sucks. Agree? Or disagree, leave a comment. Watch for challenge at end of video.

Online Advertising Tips - Interview
Friday
Mar 21, 2008
Happy Friday everyone. Yesterday’s video about why you fail was a big hit. I’m thinking that I’ll do more motivational stuff like that in the future. Today, however, I’ve got a guest interview.
If you’re at all into the business of online advertising, or “making money online”, like I am, you should watch this video interview (below) with Michael Buechele of 11|15 Media. We talk about how to find a niche and where to look for industry trends, and Mike gives his top picks for ad networks. If you want more of Mike, listen to him on Sam’s Affiliate Fortune Cookies podcast. The guy gets around eh?

Give & You Shall Receive
Thursday
Mar 20, 2008
We interrupt the Daily Flip to bring you a video you have to watch. Gary Vaynerchuk, the Wine guy, talks a little business/life strategy.
It’s pretty obvious that I’m crushing, in a totally marketing geek non sexual way, on Gary these days. I mean, I even wrote I wanted to be him months and months ago. You know I love you man, in a normal non freaky way, Ha. What can I say, the guy has it down, across the board.
Watch this video peeps. Gary’s giving school and I’m in the front row, you should be too. Join the verygreenteam too.
AWeber proves it to thousands of businesses every day.
Learn how email marketing software
can get you more sales, too.
