In my presentation called “Beyond the Website” I cover my mantra of “Why We Use the Internet”. It’s one of the main things that we all need to understand before we can be successful online.
You MUST understand why people come online. If you dont, how can you sell to them? How can you create products and services and tools that they want? You can’t.
Here’s quick little snippet of me talking about why we use the Web. Do you think simple like this? Do you solve problems? You should.

We have a similar, but slightly altered view that takes this just a step further. In our conversation marketing practice we believe that people don't actually care about products or brands, they care about fulfilling their own wants and needs. We guide our clients to interact with the entire market conversation (on and offline conversation locations and influencers) but it's the same idea that you're focusing on in this video of why people go online.
We look at why people look to influencers and market conversation participants (and the market conversation in general) for information–because they, as you've stated it in the video, people have a problem to solve or want to be entertained (those people that Listen–look to the market conversation for information–do so to help guide them on how to fulfill wants and needs.)
Not sure how that is taking it further? I pretty much said the exact same thing :)
