No Retweets Needed, Just Be Remarkable

Chris Brogan proved the point I’m going to make here today. And the point is…

You don’t have to ask for retweets if you just make remarkable content.

Chris’s post did what it was supposed to do, most likely unintentionally knowing Chris (he doesn’t need retweets). Lisa Barone blogged about it. The Sales Lion followed. Plenty more. Heck, I’m doing it.

Tweets aren’t a marketing strategy. Sure, they can get you some traffic and a few more followers, but it’s not a marketing plan. Getting retweets is more about your ego than it is getting results.

Want more retweets? Do something remarkable. They’ll come without asking.
