Here’s six or so minutes of random footage I took with my Flip camera at the Affiliate Summit event earlier this week. Some good stuff in here. Like…
- Gary V (the wine guy) buying a domain name at the Moniker domain auction.
- Sam Harrelson swearing on camera.
- Stephanie Agresta pitching some social booking, as usual :)
- A few of us drinking Mickey’s Big Mouth beer. Horrible.
- People riding the Segway.
- Other assorted and random clips too.
Want to see more people riding the Segway? Check this vid out. Why don’t you see me on it? Because I tried to get on and almost wiped out big time. That thing isn’t built for big people. At least no one had their video camera running.
Also watch at:
YouTube, Metacafe, Blip.tv and Veoh.

Business Around A Lifestyle
The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.
That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?
Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.
Zac, yeah, it wasn't meant to be.
Scott, good to see you as well.
I’ve been tortured for the past three days for not having my camera on when you did the Segway dance.
But the clip lives on in my head, and I shall refer to it often in the future.
I ended up filming a couple dozen people on the Segway throughout the day – just hoping for one Kukral moment.
Alas, that magic was never to happen again.
Yes, sadly for you and others Shawn, my horrible almost fall on the segway was not recorded. I like to think it’s good karma coming back to me. Maybe you can buy a Segway and recreate the scene.
Haha, that would have been some nice footage. After all… everyone else on camera with the Segway looks like they are almost about to fall! Always a great time at AffiliateSummit!
I do so wish Shawn was there with the video. Thankfully, I do have his own impersonation of the scene, which is almost as good.
Great to see you in Vegas, Jim.
Jim inspired me to buy my flip. It is the most fun toy for geeks; the hard part is switching back and forth between stills and video. What’s a social media girl to do?
