Update: It looks like video is coming to the iphone.
We also do some chatting about Hulu.com and how it’s beginning to kick some serious butt. I wonder why other competitors aren’t popping up against Youtube using the Hulu model.

as for now, its still imposible to record video in your iphone if its not jailbroken, the iphone sdk doesnt allow developers to play with the camera.
Thank you for sharing this experience. it would have been very interesting to know what the staff in the store tell you about the reason of the problem so do please share it with us if you learn something from them as this sounds like a peculiar problem.
