How should you price yourself? How should you value yourself? Not sure? Listen to this podcast below with Duncan MacPherson from Pareto Systems to find out more. Remember, you’re the best at what you do, and not everyone can do what you do (scarcity). So valuing yourself the right way is very important.

Also remember, starting a relationship with a customer is very important. If you start by dropping your price, you’re setting a precedent for the future relationship.

We also talk about how to value yourself as an employee working for a company. What’s YOUR value? Do you want to make MORE MONEY??? Of course you do. Learn how to value yourself.

Clients focus on what your value is, not what you cost! Or at least they should.
A cynic is somebody who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing – Oscar Wilde.
Advice for employees. The marketplace rewards what we deserve, not what we want.
Build your case for what the market will bear.

Good question, eh? I’m willing to bet you suffer from what most people suffer from… devaluing yourself or your business. You know… charging too little, or not making your value known to customers and employers.

Admit it, it’s ok. Everyone does it. But the time to stop is now. You’re never going to get where you want if you continue to devalue your knowledge and experience.

So how do you determine your value as a consultant or employee or as a sales organization? Some people or companies have no idea how to price themselves, or when/if to discount. Today I talk with Duncan Macpherson from Pareto Systems, and co-author of “Breakthrough Business Development”.

We talk about value and negotiating your value. Good stuff the consultant who needs to know how to price or value their work and time.
