Do You Do GREAT Customer Service?

Click here to listen to the podcast.

5-years ago I saw a guy speak at a local entrepreneur event. He told stories about how he does amazing customer service and how it had made his string of hair salons the best in town.

That talk he gave stuck with me. So much so, the things I learned from him shaped the way I do business today, in a really good way.

So flash forward 5-years later and I find out that the guy is now a best-selling author, corporate trainer and motivational speaker, and well, I’m not surprised.

That guy is John Dijulius. author of theDiJuliusgroup.com. John is the author of What’s the Secret: To Providing a World-Class Customer Experience.

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

often you hear 'horror stories' or encounters with a customer service rep… i mean i kinda understand their situation since it is a very tough job to have, receiving irate calls/customers on a daily basis and all… but i also appreciate excellent customer service, it says a lot about the company, i believe it only does nothing but positive things for the company…
