Hi Jim,
It is a good idea to accept guest posts on your blog. I want to ask some questions here.
Will you accept content that is published on somewhere else before?
Will you allow a backlink to our website, like some kind of bio box?
Thanks,
Nail

Just trying to figure out what I could possibly cover in my post that could offer the visitors of your site something of value. Will definitely keep an eye on your site to see what direction some of the guest writers take.

I will also see what I can come up with. First I think I shall poke around a bit and see whats what. Need to make sure I can contribute something worthwhile and relevant.

Sounds great David. As long as those articles haven't been published anywhere online before/yet. They can be published elsewhere after 30 days.
David Brier on November 16th 2009 at 02:09 PM
Let me know how you like to proceed and what you prefer. I have written "list type" items covering design, covering "social media miconceptions" and others. Pop me an email @ david@risingabovethenoise.com so I can respond more immediately. More soon. PLUS, I have ANOTHER affiliation idea we can both come out ahead on… could be great.

Jim,
I'd love to contribute — 2 articles I'm currently drafting:
1 – You Can't Do It Alone – (encouraging entrepreneurs to reach out to their extended network of colleagues for help in accomplishing their business goals).
2 – Creativity First, Capital Second – growing your business through creative use of the non-financial resources you have at your disposal.
Jim Kukral on November 16th 2009 at 07:05 AM
I like both!

Hey Jim, I bet you have a pretty good idea of what I do, and what I blog about. For others reading this, in short I take software development projects that suck and make them not suck. My blog is for anyone who writes, maintains, organizes, pays for, or manages software projects.
For your readers, I could write about why you might need a custom software project at all, how you know it's cost-effective, what kinds of questions to ask your consultant, or how to help them help you. Turning it slightly, I could talk about fear, humility, and courage in the development process–my post on humility (http://blog.criticalresults.com/2009/10/23/essent... was a huge hit!
What do you think?
Jim Kukral on November 16th 2009 at 07:06 AM
Mark, that sounds right to me!
Mark W. Schumann on November 16th 2009 at 02:41 PM
So tell me what you want to do next. Which topic stands out for you? And now what?
Mark W. Schumann on January 25th 2010 at 05:40 PM
You didn't answer me for a while on this, so let me tell you: This Friday, I can give you "3 Keys to your software project, for non-software entrepreneurs." Thousand words. Link to a product that happens to help people with exactly those three things. :-) Are we good?

Hi Jim, wonderful offer. I'm very interested but I'm swamped at the moment. I hosted my first free webinar last Thursday and it's the first of six modules. I'll get back to you after I'm done, sometime around Christmas. I'd also love to see what Mark W. Schumann has to offer, sounds great!

David, I'm finally getting around to writing that blog post. Better late than never!

Well, I can write informative post about search marketing. I would actually provide elaborate information about the system I use and how can other people struggling with SEO and all that stuff make their life easier, especially for tougher keyword phrases with a lot of strong competition.
I am still very new to SEO, lots of things don't know yet, but I've managed to get Google page 1 for my own blog on several medium tough keywords, so I guess I have a credibility to throw a few words about that.
Jim Kukral on November 17th 2009 at 09:48 PM
Would love to have some info about SEO. Write something up and send it to me!

Jim- I have a couple ideas for articles about entrepreneurship. Nature vs. nurture. And, using the Fail Fast to Succeed.
I also have about 10 years experience as an email marketing solution provider to customers of all sizes from solo proprietors to Fortune 10 companies. Tell me what you think your readers would want to read. One recurring topic that continues to come up is list building. Many are looking for shortcuts and want to ignore the consequences.
Also, what length/word count should these articles be?

Those sound great. Would also love topics of list building. No length specifics on guest posts really.

Cool! As long as there's no hard deadline. I'm dong my third Startup Weekend this weekend and this time it's my project we'll be developing and building.

Hey Jim,
I have an article that I am just finishing up called "Why social media now?" It discusses how social media is the new word of mouth and why it is so important. Are you interested?
Jim Kukral on January 28th 2010 at 03:34 PM
Yes, sure am. As long as it's original.
