How Bad Do You Want It?

Make money teaching a class at Prfessor.com

It’s easy to get down on yourself. You’re not finding success as easy as you thought it would be. You’re frustrated. You are ready to give up.

I know what you’re feeling. I’ve been there. Heck, sometimes I am still there. Sure, I do well for myself, I’m not complaining, but there are times when I even wonder how come I’m not doing better. You know, rockstar better. 6-month vacation in Europe better. You know what I’m talking about.

It’s all possible. Set a goal and do everything you possibly can to get there. Claw, scratch, beg, borrow, negotiate, convince, raise… anything you have to do to get there.

But also… want it. You have to want it badly.

Let’s say your goal is to make $20,000 a month. How are you going to get there? Do you know? Or do you just write it off as impossible? I can tell you that it can be done, but it’s not going to be easy.

If you want it bad enough, you’ll get there.

I just finished reading Gary Vaynerchuk’s book “Crush It” (see banner link in sidebar). Great book that covers the major themes that Gary has been touting for years now, which is that you can “crush it”, if you are willing to try and work hard.

Many of my clients and students say they want it, but often back down when they find out how hard it is.

So how bad do you want it? Because you can have it if you want it bad enough. No question.

    I just quit my job of 7 years only y'day because I want greater progressive success so badly I can taste it. The way I figure it, its actually costing me money being in my corporate job, limiting my earnings and stiffling my progress. I have been studying and learning like a mad man over the past 4 months internet marketing and blogging.

    And now I am confident I am ready and this is the right time to unleash all my creative and logical juices. I have 9 w/sites live, with many more coming up. Treating each one like a project and creating systems to run and rule them. Relationship building is a key focus, so various social media, blogs and forum channels are a part of the solution.

    My goal: 3 month trip around Europe, starting with my best mates wedding in Italy June 2010. Am excited by my decision!! {bit nervous too though, hehe}

      I hear this a lot Kieran. In fact, I know for a fact that I've missed on lots of opportunities while focusing on consulting gigs and jobs that took me away from "doing it myself". It's hard to do though. I look at it this way. The Universe has a plan for us. When we're ready to "quit that job", we do it. Up until that point, we're not ready. Ok, that's the zen-like answer at least. :)

      Good luck to you!

    Jim,

    Bad. I want it bad! I'm clawin, scratching and working all the time.

    I EXPECT bigger success. It just may not happen in MY time frame.

    Your support of my stuff helps me along the way though.

    You DO know that you were the one that pushed for me to really start branding "The Franchise King" theme.

    Well, The Franchise King ® is now trademarked. Thanks, Jim…..

      Joel, you've come so far since we've first met and I know you're out there clawing for it. Glad to support, now keep it up. So many people don't listen, and you do, so thank you.

        Jim,
        Why the heck wouldn't I listen to someone that's done this longer, and is better than me?;

        For me, it's also about loyalty, transparency, and doing the right things. Like what you are, and do.

    My short term goal is not so much, however I am still struggling to achieve it. Nevertheless, I believe in myself that if I do not quit, I will reach to it because I want it so bad that I don't see any other option such as giving up.
