How Does Thomas Kinkade Sell His Art Online?

Today I chatted with associate Marty Fahncke, who is a consultant and electronic marketing expert who I’ve known for a few years. We talk about the “web biz” and Marty provides some excellent tips and strategies he uses to be successful for himself and his clients.

One really neat thing is that Marty has been working with famous artist Thomas Kinkade to help him sell his works online.

Our discussion revolves around retail online sales and why people buy or don’t buy. We also talk about how to use social media channels to promote a brand for sales. Lastly, we discuss Twitter some more and how we both use it.

With over 18 years of experience in sales & marketing, Marty has been involved in campaigns responsible for nearly $1 BILLION in revenue. With experience in direct sales, sales management, marketing, product acquisition, infomercials, e-commerce, and international marketing, you are assured of receiving high quality, professional services that will grow your business.

wow, that was cool! If they can sell that junk online there is potential to sell anything :-) Kinkade paintings make me physically sick because they are so bad artistically. The show on the other hand was great!

I like what I see when I look at his painitngs but I'm no judge of art. However, I would like to get better at it. I've heard many people say they hate his work, but I don't know why. I haven't heard or read any specific reasons as to what makes him a bad artist. Some people are not happy with the way he mass produces the images. Is that it? Are there specific flaws in his technique? Or is it the subjects he chooses to paint? Specifically, what makes him a bad artist?

is that thomas kinkade's work up there, looks vivid and detailed! well i answered my own question, visited the link and i'm just astonished with the works he posted there… i think that it is an excellent idea to promote thomas' works via social media networks… with products as good as his, the viral aspect of it all will surely work to his advantage.
