How’d You Like To Be In My Book?

Make money teaching a class at Prfessor.com

I’d love to include you in my upcoming book. It’s called ‘Attention! This book will make you money’ and it will be in bookstores in July 2010. Published by Wiley.

The book is all about how businesses and brands use attention-getting marketing/ideas/tricks/whatever to get noticed, and then specifically how they turn that attention into revenue. Revenue can be defined as anything, but more specifically sales, leads or publicity.

So, want to see your name in print? Got a great story to tell? Just answer these two questions as best as you can. Need some inspiration? Visit my old book blog at Blendthisbook.com first for examples.

Publish your answers here on my blog or contact me.

Question #1 – What have you done, or seen done, by a business or brand, that has gotten attention in an unusual or creative way?

Question #2 – How did they turn that attention into some type of revenue (sales/leads/publicity).

Note: It can be a small win, such as getting one person’s attention, or getting a job or earning enough revenue to launch your company. Anything.

    Jim,
In the coursework for my MBA in Marketing it was obvious that not only do you have to know your target audience and competitive advantage, but you have to be able to deliver your message in unique ways to get attention and be remembered!
Question #1 – What have you done, or seen done, by a business or brand? In the book "Buzz Marketing", Mark Hughes told of his time at half.comwhere he got a small town (Halfway, Iowa) to literally change their name to Half.com, Iowa!
Question #2 – How did they turn that attention into some type of publicity/revenues? The story took off and reporters were crawing all over themselves to cover it….it was the best PR they could have imagined!
I don't think any of us can afford to replicate that, but we can contact prospects in unique ways, I use a greeting card service that lets me send a greeting card and even have a small gift sent along with it, like a motivational book, or box of brownies….anything to get attention works!

    Good luck with the book!
    Mike Saunders, MBA

In today's world of rushing from place to place, meeting deadline after deadline, wouldn't it be nice if you could control something at your own pace?

Online movie rental services are convenient—they allow you to find, rent and watch your movies when YOU are ready. There aren't return dates or late fees for DVD rentals, giving you freedom to keep movies as long as you like.
On selection, some online movie rental services offer 60,000 separate titles—try finding that kind of movie selection at the video store down the street! And to help you find just the right movie, most online movie rental services offer several search tools; you can look up movies by title, actor, director or search by genre. But probably the best part of using an online movie rental service is the ability to customize your membership—you can pick a plan that matches your DVD rental style. On this site, DVD Rental Review, you'll find articles and comprehensive reviews that can help you choose the online DVD rental service that best fits your needs.
