Inspiration: I Just Bought A Ukulele

Inspiration is a heckuva sales tool. Marketers need to figure out how to inspire their audience, because if you can do that, you own your market, regardless of what it is you’re selling.

Case in point. I have recently been smitten with a very talented Youtube musician named Julia Nunes. She plays the Ukulele on video and covers great songs and well, she’s just unbelievable. She has inspired me so much so that I went out yesterday and bought this Ukulele.

Why? Because I want to learn how to play like her. Now, I realize I will never have her talent, but the point is… she inspired me to follow a dream. Which is to become more musically inclined in my life. Do you inspire? Listen to my audio for more on Julia and my thoughts on inspiration.

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

I use the Uke in my marketing from time to time as a Persona named “Phil Foster”… it's been very good to me over the years.

Yes, the girl has talent. Quite creative, too. And I applaud her ability to entice someone to purchase a uke. But, let's get something clear here… The name is Phoebe.
I'm looking forward to The Flip with Jim on ukulele!

Awesome Jim! In creative videos and sounds like you're constantly producing, real Ukulele is much better than regular electric guitar with ukulele sound effects.
