Negativity Kills Success, Don’t Let It

I previously talked about listening. That’s step one in the process of learning how to be successful. But there’s so much more. Another huge part of the process is eliminating the negative.

Specifically, the negative people in your lives. I’ve done a video on this topic if you want to watch I’ve included it below. Here’s the deal…

Negative people will kill your dreams. Avoid them. Remove them from your speed dial. Find ways to remove them from your life, completely. You don’t have to hate them, or be mean to them, but in my opinion, you can eliminate them from your circle and be better for it.

What good does a negative person bring you? Seriously think about this. Evaluate the people around you. Is there always that one person or group of people who complain all the time? What about those people who constantly say you can’t do something, or an idea is stupid?

Guess what? Those people do not want to be successful. They’d rather think the world is against them and they can never achieve success.

Do you really think the same as that negative person?

No, you don’t, so palling around with those people isn’t a good idea. Make a choice, right now. Eliminate those people from your life if you can. You’ll be better off down the road.

You're absolutely right. I couldn't have written it better myself. It's hard to find the courage to pursue a goal, when you have people feeding negativity into your life. As difficult as it is, you need to learn to separate yourself from their attempts to keep you down. Great advice!

Offline, it feels like the actually suck energy from your body. Don't you start to feel “tired” fast when you are listening to a bunch of blah..blah…negaitive blurbs…blah? lol

Same with online, but it's a lot easier to hit the close button, the back button, or the block option. :)

    Great advice!
    Cheers!

I agree in some extent that negative people are detrimental in your success. But in some way, there can also be helpful. I think, you don't need to throw them away from your circle because some times, as you listen in their opinion, it is up to you how to react. They say there's something wrong and let's not do this, because and because, but as a decision maker, their insights will give you to push on with extra care.

I'm reminded of the phrase: “you are the company you keep.”

There's enough to worry about in the day. We don't need any more negativity holding us down or standing in the way of our progress!

I'm completely surprised that not one negative person has come here to try and debunk my theory. I thought for sure it would happen!

Attitude plays a very vital role in one's life. Negatively brings groom , reduces self-confidence , kills success. U are what you think is a very famous saying which explains Negativity results in negativity. “Tell me you're friend and I'll you who you are” is yet another famous saying which explains how your associates affect your life. Like how smile is contagious negativity also affects our lives …. So we should avoid Negativity and Negative people to ensure our success.

I always strive to surround myself with people of the same ilk, anything/anyone else is just draining and pulls focus.

I know what I want for myself and for my daughter and anyone else who doesn't get it, better get out the way!

@jimkukral: Negativity crossbreeds with fear, and a force of positivity washes them out. :)

Negativity halts positive focus and production. I won't put up with that type of attitude in any aspects of life when others are involved. I have seen some of the most intelligent people I know fail themselves when they get into negative patterns.

Am agree with you Jim, in fact for some reason, there are people which have negative thinking actually trying to gain more benefit for themself and give the opposite party a negative thoughts and way. Another way of this is actually to mess up the opposite mind so that they won't achieve on the same thing.

Believe me, I have those experience whom a guy actually wanted to gain the benefit more rather to let me gain on it. To treat this situation, all I need to do is ignore him and do what ever thing that you think its right for yourself.
