Practice Makes Perfect

Make money teaching a class at Prfessor.com

Time for yet another learning how to play the ukulele update. The truth is, I don’t have that much time to practice, so I’m not getting that much better. So bear with me. In today’s video I show you some more chords I’ve learned. I’m still having fun, I just wish I had more time.

Remember, the whole point of this was to see if I could learn how to play by watching videos on Youtube or learning from free information found through Google. So far, so good. But slow without practice.

  • One of my favorite gifts I ever received was a ukelele when I was about 15. I'd failed at piano lessons, but I was an avid voice student so I wanted something to play to accompany myself. Taught myself from the manual that came with it. I even played and sang in the school talent show. Unfortunately, there was one string that always slipped and I had to constantly tune it. I got really good at that! But, I ended up singing a capella for the talent show! And, of course, my classmates, I think, thought I was weird, but that was pretty much standard anyway!

At any rate and at the very least, ukeleles are wonderful personal, low-tech, accessible entertainment.

    Keep playing and have fun!
  • Yeah, as long as it's fun it's great.
