I'd failed at piano lessons, but I was an avid voice student so I wanted something to play to accompany myself. Taught myself from the manual that came with it. I even played and sang in the school talent show. Unfortunately, there was one string that always slipped and I had to constantly tune it. I got really good at that! But, I ended up singing a capella for the talent show! And, of course, my classmates, I think, thought I was weird, but that was pretty much standard anyway!<br><br>At any rate and at the very least, ukeleles are wonderful personal, low-tech, accessible entertainment.<br><br>Keep playing and have fun!
