The only reason to interview an adult star on a money making blog would be to increase the number of young web users for your blog.

@45, you're kidding me right? Look at the history books. Look at all major trends and techniques. Pretty much all of them were invented by the adult industry who have been pushing the envelope for years.

@Stuart, If I were offered that, no, I wouldn't take it. Even if they offered me 1.5 million, although I would think about it for a few minutes, hehe.

I personally think it's interesting to see how these "alternative" industries approach online marketing from a user & a branding perspective.

However, it's your own decision as to whether your morales allow you to participate or be associated with these activities.

Let me ask you this, if you were offered a 12 month marketing / seo contract for 150k for a brand new adult site would you pass it up? Or would you think about it?

For some people no money in the world would make them want to be associated with the adult industry, for others money is everything & opportunity is everything.

Regards

"they drive the car in this Internet thing we do"

I fail to see that. Sure they can be innovative but so are the non porn people. Look at the web 2.0 panel you were on the other day, how many of those "groundbreaking" sites were influenced by the porn industry?

However I don't see any problem with talking about the techniques the porn people use to drive traffic and get sales, that is a personal preference I believe.
