Show Me Your Business Card, & I’ll Show You Mine

Show Me Your Business Card, & I’ll Show You Mine

January 14th, 2007 // 9:49 pm @ Jim Kukral

Sam tagged me to show off my business card. The problem is that I have 3 business cards at the moment (JimKukral.com, ReveNews & Forge/BlogKits), and they’re all pretty boring. So instead of scanning in those cards and showing them here, I figured I’d just design a new card that encapsulated my primary projects and contact information, specifically built for giving out at trade shows.

The idea behind this card design is to A.) Show my face so people remember me, B.) Remind the person who I represent and C.) Give the person a reminder and note area to notate what they need to follow up with me about.

Nothing fancy Nancy. Sorta similar to Shawn’s card, but less busy.

So now I gotta tag three peeps eh? Ok, I tag the following.

Eric Marcoullier of Mybloglog

Wade Tonkin of AffiliateWarrior

Anita Campbell of Small Business Trends

You will burn in heck for starting this Harrelson, by the gods!

I hope you printed them on plain card stock vs. the glossy stuff (that’s hard to write on).

    Hi Jim,

Nice spiffy new design for this site! You are one of the most creative people I know. I love your business card. Mind if I copy the idea? But the dimensions look different than a standard card ….

Copy away Anita! Remember, I tagged you, so you need to blog about this if you can, and show me yours!

The dimensions should be right, it’s 3.5×2. Maybe the grapic just looks off.

    Jim:

I heard you speak at the Web Association luncheon and you converted me. Since Tuesday I’ve been busy setting up MySpace and my blog: neocreates.com. I’m the co-owner of polkadotpeeps, a creative staffing and managed creative services firm located in highland square, akron. I searched for ‘peeps’ around the blogosphere and come up with this entry.

Thanks for the talk and take care.

Jim: Done – except for years of posting…

http://www.neocreates.com I’m not too happy with the look and feel of the design, but the wordpress thing is so limiting if you’re not a CSS and PHP wizard. Any suggestions for good (cutting edge) wordpress themes?

Jim, I am planning to write about this on my site, but my current business card is so outdated (eeek!) that you’ve inspired me to have new ones done. As soon as I have a before and after to show, I will post.
