Someone Please Create A Geek Marketer Magazine

Got my last issue today of Business 2.0. The cover says, “this is your last issue… you’re getting a couple of FORTUNE magazines to fulfill your subscription.”

Ok, thanks, but no thanks. I don’t want to read about that stuff. I want to read about geek marketer stuff. Business 2.0 was my favorite magazine, besides Revenue Mag :)

Who’s gonna pick up the slack and make another mag for geek marketers like me? Geek Marketer Magazine, that’s the ticket. Sign me up.

Recommend any other mags I need to be reading like Business 2.0 to fill my void?

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

Yeah. You’re not the only one that’s a little peeved that they killed that one. By far my favorite mag. Honestly haven’t found anything to replace it either. Not sure in what world FORTUNE is a qualifying replacement for the rag, but I guess we’ll see. If you do find something close, please let us know in a post!

I’m sooo p*ssed Time chose to ditch this magazine. WTF?!!! I’m hopeful someone will pick up the baton with something similar. How about you, Mr. Never-Say-Die-Entrepreneur? :-) This would be right up your alley.

Yea this was by far the best publication in print. THey say they are going to send me Money for the remaining issues. Oh and get this. The month before the last issue they still sent me a renewal notice because my subscription was up in 3 months. What? Your sending one last issue but you want me to renew so I can end up getting Money instead. Poor tactic.
