Success – You Want It? Take It!

Success is achieved by working hard, knowing what you want…. and then taking it!

Too many people think that successful people just get lucky. Wrong. They work very, very hard to get what they want, and they reap the rewards. If you want to be successful, you’re going to have to make it happen. You’re going to have to take it. Watch the video below for more of my thoughts on this topic.

Success today! Or not. It’s your choice.

    Hey Jim,

Nice to be able to post a comment on your blog today, have been so darn busy. Anyway, great video / post. You know it is funny, seams a lot of people are too timid about what they want online. I mean sure, lots of people think they want to work full time online or make piles of money but they do not put forth a real plan of action. The kicker is they are often stumped at why they are not reaching their goals.

I have had a mantra for some time:

The harder I work, the luckier I get ;-)

Anyway, great post today. Time for me to take action and get to work now.

    Another great, inspiring video, Jim.

You said it, what’s really at the crux of success is knowing what you want. Until you are clear on that, you’re just wandering aimlessly in the fog. I like to cook, so I’ve always likened this situation to cooking. It’s easy to cook anything, as long as you have a recipe. Until I have a recipe, I can barely boil water, but once I have a recipe, I can create some amazing dinners!

“Well, I finished college, I guess I have to get a job, just like everyone else.” You mentioned Tony Robbins and one of my favorite quotes of his is, “You want to be like everyone else, do what everyone else is doing.” I don’t want to be like everyone else. Everyone else is broke, tired, and depressed.

I’m glad you liked it Tim! You MUST know what you want. Unfortunately, for a lot of people, they never really figure out what they want, or they don’t try because they don’t think getting it is obtainable. It is!

Hey Jim, I got my Flip Ultra today – very cool. I made a short video and used the included software and it put out an ok little video. What do you use to get your videos from the Flip to YouTube. Can you do a Flip or post about it?

    Hey Tony,

Great news! I use Sony Vegas, however, you can do it direct through the Flip software, or try a free editing program called http://www.videospin.com, or if you have a Mac use imovie.

I should do a big post about this huh?

Absolutely. I was messing around in Windows Movie Maker adding text overlays and effects and stuff and the clip was huge and took forever to upload on YouTube. You have these slick videos that look great. Inquiring minds want to know how you do it.
