Ted Murphy Is A Fucking “Evil” Marketing Genius?

I agree with Loren. Ted Murphy isn’t evil as Arrington says. In fact, if you read my blog, you’ll know that I turned my opinion on Ted a long time ago and proclaimed him a fucking marketing genius.

Which, by the way is #1 on Google for that term now Ted.

Fucking marketing genius

And he continues to keep that moniker.

Case in point, watch Ted at MESH baiting Mke Arrington of Techcrunch.

Disclaimer: I’m on a panel at Postiecon in the fall. Looking forward to meeting Ted and learning how I can also be an evil fucking marketing genius too.

    Gosh, I hate watching videos. S_O S_L_O_W.

But yes, Ted is a marketing genius.

He’s also trying to create a valuable service for business people who need advertising.

Interestingly, since I only recently entered the “money blogging” loop, I never heard of Arrington until after I learned of PayPerPost. I would likely never have heard of him had he not criticized PPP. I’ve since visited Tech Crunch and find Mr. Arrington seems to have some bizarre, rather inconsistent ideas about what’s ethical in advertising.

In the process, Ted is creating opportunities for many bloggers to monetize their niches.

    This is not “EVIL”.

The worst that can be said for PPP is 1) that the system doesn’t work perfectly and 2) Some people dislike in post ads.

But then, what system works perfectly? And lots of people also don’t like billboards, get TIVO to avoid tv commercials, and don’t like ads in sidebars.

Heck, I don’t like lobster, but not liking something doesn’t make it evil!

The fact is, in blog post ads are no more “evil” than the seeming personal endorsements Arrington ran at his blog. I usually find the arguments trying to prove they are evil charmingly naive.

[...] And like the Blog junkie that I am I figured there had to be some dirt or at the very least hype being created about pay per post out there in the blog-o-sphere. So I did a little searching and came across JimKukrals Blog. He has a post and you tube video about Payper post, calling Ted Murphy the founder and Ceo of payperpost an evil fucking marketing genius [...]
