The Key To Online Success Isn’t Agloco & Get Rich Quick Products

I’m getting about 10 new blog entries a day now into the BUMPzee How to be successful online community I am managing.

I would say that 8 out of 10 that are submitted get included while the others get rejected because they are junk blogs full of Agloco promotions, or every blog post is written specifically to drive clicks to a “get rich quick” product.

Look, my version of “how to be successful online” DOES NOT include Agloco and get rich quick stuff. I want blogs in the community who provide helpful advice, and thoughts and stories about how to be successful.

Sure, they can have ads, and affiliate links, but there is a huge difference between writing content ONLY to sell some products, and writing content to help people. It’s a hard-sell vs. a soft-sell. If you’re hard-selling, I’m not going to let you join the community.

How Do You Define Success Jim?

Check out this neat blog I just included called The Hot Dog Truck. This guy bought a hot dog truck and set out on a quest to “make the perfect hot dog”, and he blogged the whole thing.

See, this blog isn’t necessarily about how to make money online, but it is about being successful, and he’s translated that wisdom into a neat blog that is entertaining to read.

When you join Jim's group you join thousands of other successful people who want to work together to grow their brands and businesses. When you join today, you'll get instant access to Jim's latest webinar replay entitled "The New Rules of Self-Publishing".

“See, this blog isn’t necessarily about how to make money online”

But that’s the title of the community you manage:

    How To Be Successful Online
The How To Be Successful Online community is for online entrepreneurs who are interested in learning how to be successful on the Internet.

Maybe change the name to focus it better.

Again, you’re missing the point trust. Success does not always equal “making money”. This blog, or that community.

    What?

I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing. I said the community you manage is titled – How To Be Successful Online

So if people check out your community and you have blogs not about that, it’s not very targetted.
And then this is another subject: Success does not always equal “making money”.

Pretty much it is. This is business, if you’re not making money you’re either losing it or on idle. Not success to me.

I agree with you on the Agloco and get rich products. Never liked any of that garbage.

If I could weigh in here, that’s me up there near the top of the post.

I do blog about “the life and times of a hot dog man” on my blog and I do have a continuously updated post called “So you wanna be a hot dog man (or woman)” that helps guide folkss interested in the hot dog business.

I am also very interested in making some money with my blog! If you go visit it, you’ll see adsense, bidvertiser, affiliate ads and paid reviews. I try to mix and balance all that stuff to make it a fun read.

Just because a blog isn’t about making money doesn’t mean that blogger isn’t interested in earning a few bucks through his labors.

I am planning on writing up a post or series of posts about the “Hotdog Man’s Online Money Making Escapades” which will highlight my online money making progress. I have a few other blogs too and I am in the process of building up a coaching blog targetted at youth baseball coaches.

All these endeavors involve something other than the topic of online success directly, but succeeding online is the goal.
