Twitter Makes You A Jedi-Blog Master

Scott says it best, Twitter Is Now An Extension Of My Blogging. I agree.

It didn’t take long, but I’m now posting things to Twitter that are very much an extension of what I post on this blog. There may have been a few instances where I posted a link or a thought to Twitter that might have previously been a blog post, but I’m not sure.

I’m definitely using Twitter for Publishing 2.0-type observations that are too short for a blog post. I’ve never used Del.icio.us for link blogging because I’ve always preferred to create fully fleshed out blog posts that tie together different items I might bookmark. But Twitter is proving to be a great outlet for these short items of interest. And the great thing about Twitter vs. Del.icio.us is that Twitter sometimes talks back.

Join me and together we will crush the emperor and rule the galaxy together as father and son… Wait, sorry. Geek moment.

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

Twitter is great for truncated commentary (and promoting the fuller version of that commentary).

Sort of like AdWords for content within a defined circle, but free.
