Win Jim Kukral’s Domain Name Contest: NicheROI.com

Take my domain names, please. I own about 150 or so domain names, most of which I don’t or ever will use. But I keep buying them as I “hope” to one day make them a good home. So why not give them away to someone with a good idea who can use them?

Here’s the deal. Every once in a while I’m going to give away one of my domain names to one of my readers who can come up with the best business model or website idea for that domain name. No, you don’t have to write an entire business model, but I will expect you to have a killer idea that is worthy of the domain (a few paragraphs will do).

The rules are you can either leave your idea for the domain in the comments for the public to view, or you can email me your idea and I will do a follow-up post in a few weeks showing each idea anonymously and my readers can vote on which one is the best.

The winning idea gets the domain in question transferred to them free of charge.

Interested? Let’s kick off this contest with one of my all-time favorite domains I’ve never used.

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

Well, what about a blog about tips and tricks about starting a niche store. Or a niche article site, minimall or affiliate marketing portal.

Or even better, a directory with one information site about making profits with niche markets per section … “how to profit by selling soccer equiptment” etc.

PS – Jim, contact me via e-mail and I’ll throw in a domain for the next one – I own a few interesting ones. :)

Josh, that sounds like a pretty good idea. Any specific niche?

There’s several niches out there that people don’t consider that, of course, I won’t mention because that would throw off my future plans! :)

However, here’s a few I’ve thought of – discounted cell phone covers (linkshare has a great affiliate for this), discount cell phones in general GSM unlocked (linkshare once again) and let’s throw in soccer equiptment to be different.

It’s not necessarily the niche that you have, but how to successfully market it – which is what I’m planning on writing soon, a step-by-step how I did mine (which I’ll do over the next few months – which is what I want to speak with you tomorrow about. :))

I’ve been fiddling around with an idea that might suit that name. I am curently building what I consider a niche site and I’m figuring out how to monetize it best. Once that’s set up, I want to start a site on “How to Set up aProfitable Niche Site.”

I think the general nature of providing such information would be better suited to that domain as opposed to a site serving a specific niche.

I know what pithy means, but it is a horrible word to the eyes, ears and mind. I have always avoided it’s use.
