A few weeks ago I got to spend a day and a night hanging out with Gary Vaynerchuk of Winelibrary.tv as he was in town for a book signing. The full video experience of my time spent with him will come later, but for now, I have a video about a person I met who was in Gary’s entourage… Marianne Frantz of the Cleveland Wine School.

The video below is an interview I did with Marianne about the Cleveland Wine School, with a funny impromptu appearance from Gary V in a few places. Pretty funny. The video was shot at lunch after a live taping of the Thunder show with Gary in Cleveland Browns Stadium (personal video on that to come later). Go watch, great episode.

Why am I posting this video about a regional company when my blog is read by thousands of people who don’t live in Cleveland? Well, it’s a perfect example of how anyone can make a video commercial for their company with a simple inexpensive camera. Something I encourage all businesses to do. Tell me this isn’t a video you’d like to show to your customers to educate them about your business?

Business Around A Lifestyle

The world changed on 9/11 in so many different ways. Since that day, there has been a major shift happening in the way people think and live their lives. Sure, many people still chase the dollar as their ultimate goal. However, many more people have begun to realize that the world could, well, end tomorrow.

That's why people are choosing to pursue a business around a lifestyle, instead of a lifestyle controlled by their business. It makes sense, right? If the world was going to end tomorrow, would you still try to live your life in a way you never wanted to?

Take a look around you and you'll see that this shift to becoming a lifestyle entrepreneur is being adopted by more and more people every day. Some of those people are falling into it because they have been laid off from their jobs and are literally forced into it. Some of those people just figure out a way to make it happen because of the "end of the world" thinking mentioned above.

The video you have taken is very funny and interesting as well.You have put up an new idea,that shooting with an camera is not a hard task and any one can do it.But I hope editing can only done by experts.

Vaynerchuk is a really saavy guy when is comes to market positioning and and branding. He's pretty much single-handedly built up his wine empire from basically nothing and total obscurity to one of the most visible people, if not the most visible, in his market. I'm all ears as to anything he says or does.
