The Internet Ruined April Fool’s Day

tim-pt-br.jpgApril Fool’s day used to be fun before the Internet. Not anymore, thanks Tim Berners Lee. You ruined the fun.

It’s gotten to the point that you might as well just shut off your computer on April 1st because it’s hard to stomach the lame, inevitable, slew of poorly architected jokes or spoofs.

Look at Google’s attempt today. They “launched” Google/Gmail Paper. Lame. The only reason it is even getting noticed is because they are Google.

Another reason to not turn on your computer today is that you cannot trust what to believe or not. So if you like having to decipher information rather than take it as just plain truth… then today is for you.

For me, I’m shutting down for the day and we’ll see what sticks tomorrow.
