Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing Tutorial

Jon from Wickedfire let’s loose with a very nice summary of how to make money as an affiliate using pay per click marketing, from start to finish.

It’s a great read, and makes a lot of sense, especially for those who might be confused as to how to do this kind of thing. Frankly, you don’t need to read an entire ebook to learn this stuff, which is why I’m linking to this post.

And I especially like and appreciate the last paragraph. :)

So there you have it. A blog post of value, quality and meaning. Will it make you millions? I doubt it. But be realistic, you need to try things out and learn them for yourself before you can pass judgement on it or decide it’s “too hard”, because this is not hard at all. This is easy shit compared to any job offline that you may have had to do for a paycheck. So quit sitting on your ass and reading this, and go out and do something about it! The rest is up to you boys and girls, so go make me proud and try it!

True. Jon, I don’t think we ever met, but I sent you my Skype contact information. Would love to meet at an event someday.

How to Monetize Your Blog – The Entrepreneur Magazine eBiz Show

I had the pleasure of appearing on the air with Chris Malta and Robin Cowie of the Entrepreneur Magazine eBiz Show the other day. We talked about how to monetize you blog. The show was broken up into three segments, which can be listened to here.

Segment 1 – Mp3 or read transcript.
Segment 2 – Mp3 or read transcript.
Segment 3 – Mp3 or read transcript.

Blogging is one of the biggest trends on the internet right now, but a blog can do more than give you an online voice. It can also generate significant revenue for your ebusiness. Joining us today is Jim Kukral, founder of BlogKits.com, to share different ways you can turn your blog into a serious income stream.

It was a huge honor to be on this show for so many reasons. First off, Chris Malta (CEO) and Robin Cowie (President) of Worldwide Brands are amazingly smart people who I admire. Secondly, I am an avid read of Entrepreneur magazine.

If you haven’t heard of WorldwideBrands.com, it’s The Internet’s recognized leader in EBiz Product Sourcing. They connect online sellers with highly qualified wholesale suppliers. They have a great product that I need to blog about soon as well.

Blogs Will Evolve & Integrate Into Google Search Results, Eventually

Cleveland recruiting & blogging guru Joel Cheesman points out that blog results are beginning to show up in the regular Google results.

blog-serps.jpg

Yeah, they’re probably testing, but I argue it’s going to go further as time goes by. Look, there are now 63 million blogs out there according to Technorati. These blogs are like little tadpoles right now, but watch out, some are going to grow up.

And what happens when a blog grows up? It turns into a frog? No, it stops being a blog!

That’s right. In my opinion, and I’m betting that in Google’s opinion as well, a blog is only a blog when it’s small and young. However, as time goes by, and the information becomes more relevant and “high-quality”, Google begins to view it as not a blog, but a valuable resource to be indexed.

So what I’m saying is that eventually, as bloggers “grow up” and become better content producers and gain strength, etc… Eventually those blogs will be “good enough” to be in Google’s index.

Give it time, and watch out. In 3-5 years, how many trillions of blog content pages will be good enough to integrate. Still think blogs aren’t relevant?

A PayPal Executive Needs To Call Jim Kukral

Calacanis says that Google is putting the nail in the PayPal coffin. Perhaps, perhaps.

I won’t guess on that. But what I will do is make a plea to a business development person at PayPal, right here, right now.

I have an idea for you that can kick Google’s butt. I need to talk to the right person (decision-maker), and I need an NDA, and I need 10 minutes of your time.

Call me, email me… Info on right.

This isn’t a joke. What have you got to lose but 10 minutes?

I’m Not A Women, Or Gay, But I Have Opinions

Caught a link-baitish piece over at Techmeme today entitled ‘The World’s Most Beautiful Women Bloggers of 2006‘. My first thought on this piece was, wow, isn’t this going to tee off the rest of the women in the blog world? I mean, let’s face it, women have to deal with this type of scruntiny on their appearance their whole lives, now they are getting that same type of designation added to them as bloggers? Tough world. I’m not a women, but I think I’d be a bit cheesed off if I read this post. Then again, the world is overly politically correct, so who knows.

On a side topic, on that same site I saw a Google Adsense ad for a site called “GayWheels.com“. The ad said “Is your car out of the closet? Find out at GayWheels.com”. Had to click it, even though I’m not gay, and I bet you that it works really well for the target. Yes, it’s as I expected, it is a car enthusiast site for gay people.

Think you are the only gay person that likes cars? Want to know more about being gay in the automotive industry? Read our new HEADLIGHTS section where we put the high-beams on out automotive professionals.

A couple of thoughts come to mind when I read this site.

1. Isn’t it great that we can have such diverse niche content and topics?

2. Do we really need a list of gay friendly car companies? lol. Ok, maybe I don’t, but I guess some people do?

3. American Express “Open” Network is an advertiser. This just goes to show that big brand names do in fact pursue advertising to niche audiences.

Merry Christmas everyone. Please be safe and hug the ones you love.
